Women – Give Your Opinions.

What Would Make You Buy or (Not Buy) This Shirt?

Poker Spade ShirtI need to ask because, as a woman who buys clothes – trendy and otherwise, I am curious and don’t always know (outside of need, it’s on sale, I like the color) why I buy clothes. Do sexy models make you believe you’re as sexy or sexier if  you wear what she’s wearing? Sex does sell or it certain lingerie and jean brands wouldn’t still be around if it didn’t. Should it have a limit, though? Do you ignore it (sexy advertising) because it has been around so long? Does the model inspire you to wear this shirt differently than you do – recalling the younger days of Britney Spears? On the other hand, do you notice the art on this shirt at all, since the model is nearly sharing what God gave her to all shoppers?

When Art, Fashion and You Merge as a Form of Expression

Clothing is a form of self-expression whether we admit it or not. Some own up to it and make sure they are wearing the latest trend or, wear that trend in a way that the masses haven’t yet or won’t accept.

Different Trends urban wear definitely appeals to the trendy and those who want to take risks with their look. These styles start with an artist’s idea. The great thing about this this company is that it caters to work by unknown designers and artists. They in turn, get to share their work with the world beyond walls of galleries, homes, or the confines of books, and magazines.

Their art takes on different meaning when you, the wearer and live canvas, put your own twist on that item of clothing – dress it up or down in a way that shares who you are as a person.

A parting question: When you wear someone’s art that is not worn by everyone, do you feel like you’re expressing who you are even more?
